Louise & Mark Wedding
Mark and Louise's North Yorkshire Wedding journey
When we first met Louise and Mark we were instantly as excited about their wedding day at Middleton Lodge as they were about their wedding photography. Due to the fact that they live in Cambridge they were doing much of their planning long distance, although we had met them previously at a Middleton Lodge Wedding Open Day, when Mum Kerry, sister Belinda and Louise had loved fallen in love with our wedding Albums. Louise and Mark had selected all their suppliers carefully and although Mark acknowledged that Louise did the research it was lovely that he was totally committed to making the final decisions with her and embraced all the details about the day.
Such was Louise's own commitment to her suppliers too that she visited Richard at Be Premiere for the year prior to the wedding, to ensure that her hair was in perfect condition for the Wedding Day. She had a Make-up trial with wedding make up specialist, Jo Leversuch of Make up by Jo and consultations for her Wedding Flowers with Felicity from Briar House Flowers as well as scheduling their Pre Wedding Photography Shoot at Swinton Park in good time prior to the day and we all loved her!
We would always recommend a pre wedding shoot as why wouldn't you, it's fun, makes you so much more relaxed about your wedding day and you get the opportunity to have some really relaxed photos of just the two of you. Our time at Swinton Park with Louise and Mark was just right, the day was chilly but then that's what you expect on an Autumn shoot, but the colours all around were absolutely stunning. You can see some of their lovely pics here: Mark and Louise pre wedding shoot at Swinton Park
The Wedding Day itself, rang like clockwork, Louise had stayed over in the Tack Room at The Coach House the night prior to the Wedding Day but the team at Middleton Lodge had managed to turn around the Bridal Suite, Oak early and so everyone gathered their belongings and kit together and moved swiftly to Middleton Lodge Main House to continue with Bridal preparations. Chloe from The Lodge was the wedding coordinator for the day and she liaised constantly with Louise and suppliers. Mark had also arrived at this point with his Best Man and Groomsmen and were doing their own preparations, which funnily enough seemed to include a game of snooker! Calmness itself and extremley chilled were definitely how I would describe the mood in The Bridal Suite and Louise was ready all ready on tim and ready for the wedding ceremony to begin. Mark was maybe a little more nervous but this hardly showed. The Wedding Ceremony took place in Middleton Lodge's drawing room as Mark and Louise wanted to enjoy as much as possible of this stunning House. Their beautiful Marriage ceremony was conducted by North Yorkshire Registrars.
We were extremely lucky with April weather, not a shower in sight so the bridal party and wedding guests were able to enjoy the stunning surroundings in the grounds of Middleton Lodge, at this point we mananged to sneak off for a few minutes with the Bride and Groom (assisited by bridesmaids Belinda and Emily) to catch a few photos of Louise and Mark. The excellent speeches and the wedding breakfast took place in the Marquee. One of the selling points of Middleton Lodge for Mark especially was the Cellar Bar, so Louise and him had opted to have the whole of their wedding dance down there. It really was a fabulous party atmosphere as you can see from their wedding images.
